Sporadic attention has been given to Saint Augustine’s philosophy of education and personal pedagogy as if his writings were sparse on the subject or irreconcilable with modern, secular education given his theological zeal. In this article, the researcher discusses Augustine’s philosophy of teaching as being the matter of his educational experiences, works, and life. Throughout this article, the researcher will discuss the path of Augustine’s educational experiences and subsequent pedagogical beliefs that translate into the modern issues in education.
