I earned my doctorate from the University of California at Riverside (CA, USA) in 2004. My fields of study include utopian fiction, post-colonial cultural theory, and intersections of literature and science. Currently, my work includes service as lead faculty for curriculum development and assessment of our department's Composition I course and its equivalents.
